Entrance to the Livestock Farm of the Guyana School of Agriculture
One of the major activities of the Livestock Farm involves the management of a commercial poultry operation in which both broilers and layers are reared. This operation facilitates the marketing of both live and dressed poultry.
The farm is also engaged in the operation and management of a commercial dairy cow unit as well as a sow breeding cum fattening unit.
In addition, the Livestock Farm encompasses the care and management of a flock of sheep and goats.
Apart from management of animals, the farm also provides genetically improved breeding stock to livestock rearers from various parts of the country.
The Livestock Farm is currently being managed by Dr. Dexter Allen.
