ADMISSION OF STUDENTS 2018– 2019 ACADEMIC YEAR

Applications are invited for the following two-year courses in Agriculture, Livestock Production & Management, Animal Health & Veterinary Public Health, and one-year courses in Forestry, Fisheries Studies and Agro Processing

1. DIPLOMA IN AGRICULTURE

• CXC – General Proficiency or GCE – Ordinary Level in four (4) subjects with grades I, II or III. Preference will be given to those with passes in English Language and Mathematics and at least one (1) Science subject: – Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Agriculture Science or Integrated Science. 

OR

• An equivalent qualification approved by the school.

2. DIPLOMA IN LIVESTOCK PRODUCTION & MANAGEMENT

• CXC – General Proficiency Examination in four (4) subjects with grades I, II or III. Preference will be given to those with passes in English Language, Mathematics and at least one (1) Science subject. 

OR

• Passes in four (4) subjects GCE – Ordinary Level with a minimum of grade C or any qualification considered by the Institution to be equivalent.

3. DIPLOMA IN ANIMAL HEALTH & VETERINARY PUBLIC HEALTH

• CXC – General Proficiency Examination in four (4) subjects with grades I, II or III. These subjects should include English Language, Mathematics and at least two (2) Science subjects – Biology, Chemistry or Physics. 

OR

• Passes in four (4) subjects GCE – Ordinary Level with a minimum of grade C or any qualification considered by the Institution to be equivalent.

 4. CERTIFICATE IN AGRICULTURE

• CXC – General Proficiency or GCE – Ordinary Level in three (3) subjects with grades I -III. Preference will be given to those with passes in English Language, Mathematics, Agriculture Science or Integrated Science.

OR

• Mature students with a sound Secondary Education.

5. CERTIFICATE IN FORESTRY

• CXC – General Proficiency or GCE – Ordinary Level in three (3) subjects with grades I, II or III. Preference will be given to those with passes in English Language, Mathematics, Agriculture Science or Integrated Science.

OR

• Mature students with a sound Secondary Education.

6. CERTIFICATE IN FISHERIES STUDIES

• CXC or GCE O’ Level in three (3) Subjects, grades I, II & III. Preference will be given to persons with English, Mathematics, Agriculture Science or Integrated Science.

OR

• Mature students with a sound Secondary Education.

7. CERTIFICATE IN AGRO- PROCESSING

• CXC or GCE O’ Level in three (3) Subjects, grades I, II & III. Preference will be given to persons with English, Mathematics, Agriculture Science or Integrated Science.

OR

• Mature students with a sound Secondary Education.
