Students of Certificate in Forestry Programme of the Guyana School of Agriculture embarked on Field Training in Manaka, Region 7

The Certificate in Forestry Students of the Guyana School of Agriculture embarked on a ten day training programme in Reduce Impact Logging at the Forestry Training Center Camp at Manaka, Region 7.

Some aspects of the training included:
– Tree Identification
– Block Demarcation
– Skid Trail Planning
– Inventory
– Chain-saw Safety
– Filling

A total of twenty-three students and two lecturers took part in the programme.
